The neck of this 1958 Hofner Committee was damaged beyond repair.
Someone had bodged a neck-reset and had broken a big piece of the heel, then fixed it back with an enormous woodscrew, and the laminations had separated. I made a new neck and fitted the original fingerboard and headstock facing. Good as new.
